Bridgestone Tyres:

Bridgestone was established by its founder, Shojiro Ishibashi, back in 1931. Highlights from its recent history include the supply of tyres to the Suzuki Grand Prix team for the MotoGP motorcycle racing and its success in Formula One, Indycar and other racing.

By February 2004 Bridgestone sold one million tyres featuring run flat technology, which according to Bridgestone's website confirmed that it is market leader in this sector. Bridgestone was chosen by both Ferrari for its Scaglietti 612 and Masserati as OE.

Bridgestone's run flat tyres are immediately effective at the moment of pressure loss, keeping the vehicle under control, even at speed and avoiding potentially fatal situations' (as quoted from Bridgestone's own website).

This tyre manufacturer produces the Bridgestone Potenza and Bridgestone Turanza ranges for cars - the former being a high performance tyre tested under motor sports circuit conditions and the latter is produced for top-end touring cars providing comfort and stability. Comfort and stability are also featured in the B-series Harmony made for compact, hatchback and smaller saloon cars.
